The LXQt team announces the release of qterminal 2.5.0. The release can be downloaded from Github.

Main changes:

• Added OSC-8 hyperlink settings to properties.
• Enabled QTermWidget’s new background image modes (filling, corners and tiles).
• Implemented visual bell and added an option for it.
• Added a feature for maximizing the current sub-terminal.
• Optionally notify the user when the output stops in a minimized window (“silence notification”).
• Enhanced inter-process communication.
• Fixed performance issues after opening and closing a lot of tabs.
• Polished the “Handle history…” feature.
• Delay startShellProgram() until the layout of QTabWidget and the initial terminal size are set.
• Made the exit dialog window-modal.
• Infrastructure changes to facilitate automatic stdout split à la cat9.
• Removed codes belonging to Qt < 6.7.
• Silenced layershell and QFile warnings.
• Removed translations CMake artifact.
• Re-implemented QTermWidget::setSize to allow CSI;18t (size request).
